Badly Designed 88x31 Buttons

I'm really not good at it, but I kinda enjoy making custom 88x31 buttons. So here you can find a selection of them. Feel free to use any of them - no attribution required.

(I ordered them chronologically, so you can see how my skills improved over time.)

Public Domain

These are my own design, and only use elements I designed myself, or that are in the public domain. All of these are licensed under CC0 - feel free to use them as you see fit.

Proudly made with COBOL 60 Cracking egg rm -rf / I'm into LaTeX Stop using email Keep Calm and Meow owo Never gonna give you up. Never gonna let you down.

Special Cases

Sometimes I use assets that are licensed with special conditions.

Button License Notes
vi -> vim -> neovim CC0 The Neovim logo is licensed under CC BY 3.0. This license requires me to give credit (The logo was designed by Jason Long), and to indicate whether or not I changed it (I did). However, it allows me to re-license my button to CC0 (yay). In any case, feel free to credit Neovim and Jason Long when use the button.
Make the world queer CC NY-NC-SA The button includes the Progress Pride Flag designed by Daniel Quasar, which is licensed under CC BY-NC-SA. I modified the flag for this button. Because of "share-alike" part of the license I'm allowed to put it under CC0.

Trandmark Issues

Buttons in this section use company logos. For some this is probably not an issue, but I'm not super deep in trademark law, so use on your own risk.

Button Notes
Proud Member of EFF I think the EFF's Trademark and Brand Usage Policy allows this. But again, I'm not a lawer. 😅
WhatsApp, Telegram, iMessage, Facebook Messenger, Discord crossed out, Signal circled Yeah, I don't need to look up the trademark policies here; there is no way in hell that this is allowed. But hey: I consider this advertisment for Signal, and I don't care about the rest. 😁
Wikipedia The Wikipedia button is almost certainly fine. As far as I can tell it conforms both to Wikimedia's Trademark Policy as well as their Visual Identity Guidelines.

Copyright Issues

These are based on copyrighted works. I think, this is probably covered by fair use, but I don't feel comfortable licensing them under Creative Commons. If it were up to me you can do whatever you want with them. But just be aware: I don't own the copyright.

Commissions

I really don't think I'm very good at this. However, if you really want me to make an 88x31 button for you, feel free to reach out via email.

In case you want to something more professional (with proper pixel art), maybe check out @misnina. She also made my own button.

How-To

Here are some tools I use for my buttons:

However, if you want to make your own buttons, there are actually easier options out there. Here are some I found:
